Irish : Our teacher brought us to the computer room and we made accounts on Duolingo. We did a series of tests on our Irish knowledge.
Science: We set up an experiment on how to isolate DNA of a plant. Maths: We continued on with the problem. Music: Ms Coyle gave out the parts of All Shook Up and Grease. We revised musical contours and rhythms. Science: We completed the experiment. English: We read chapter 5 of the Help and gave our copies to Ms Hough.

Home Economics x2: We cooked Chicken Curry with Rice. Religion:We all got into a circle. Ms Dunne tied a knot on one end of the string and held onto the knot. She then named a reason why we might get stressed. Then she threw it to someone else. They had to name a reason why we might get stressed and threw it to someone else etc. We continued doing this until everyone had a knot. We continued on but this time we had to name a reason why we might get anxious. At the end of it, we had to try and untie it which was impossible! At the end of this exercise, Ms Dunne explained to us why we did this exercise. She told us that we stress ourselves by getting into a knot and again when we try and get out of it. Irish: Our Irish teacher brought the girls to the Music room where we added choreography to one of our songs. Enterprise: We continued on with our Weebly. English: We read chapter 4 of the Help. Science x2: We tidied the lab for Ms Barry. Music: We practiced ‘Jailhouse Rock’ and ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love with You’
English: Ms Hough asked us to write a diary entry for Minny when she arrives at Celia’s house. We finished reading chapter 3. Religion: We worked on a worksheet. Maths: Mr Enright gave us another maths problem to solve. Religion: We continued working on the worksheet. We then had to write a poem using a phrase we were given. Business: Ms Hayes gave us sheets. She explained the first few pages. I.T.: Mr Molamphy showed us how to do other things on Weebly. European Studies: Our teacher was absent so we had a free class. Irish: We were given a sheet with nine pictures. We had to write a story based on the pictures. Irish: We were divided into groups of four. Our teacher then called out four sentences and we had to draw a picture related to the sentences. Then we had to create a short story using these pictures.
Science: Our teacher was absent so we had a free class. Maths: Mr Enright told us to finish the puzzle. Music: We presented our speeches to Alan Devine. Science: We presented our speeches to Alan Devine. English: We presented our speeches to Alan Devine. Tutor: We were shown a clip the Team Hope sent to us explaining about the shoebox appeal.

Irish: We went to the computer room and translated words from the sheet using teanglann.ie. Enterprise: We looked at the Student Enterprise website. English: We read the first half of chapter 3 from The Help. Science x2: Ms Barry showed us a video clip from TedEd Talks about Genetics. We had to summarise everything on the whiteboards. Then one person in each group would stay and teach more people that would come to your group. Music: We practiced the ukulele for the first half of the class. For the second half, we practiced Jailhouse Rock and Falling in Love with You. Ms Coyle gave out some of the main roles.

Tutor: We continued with our Weebly.
Constructions: We continued making the Memo Block. Drama: We continued practicing the words and moves to our Calypso. Guidance: Ms Lyons brought us to the computer room and we completed the personality test on Careers Portal. English: We read half of Chapter two of The Help. Art x3: We made bowls and designed them using leaves and different textures. Constructions: We completed the Memo Block. P.E. x2: We did the Beep Test. Ms Barry taught us how to run properly.
Enterprise: Ms Hayes gave us sheets with important definitions. Drama: We learned about Bloom’s Taxonomy. French: We continued with the sheets. Drama: We discussed the story about the sliotar against Galway and Tipperary. Music: We continued with the ukulele for half the class and then for the other half, we practiced songs for the school show. Maths: Mr Enright gave us a worksheet. Irish: We were given a worksheet and were put into groups of four. Each person had to speak for two minutes about the topics that were on the sheet. While they were speaking, someone had to write down what they were saying. Irish: We were given a test where our Irish teacher put us into groups of three or four. She called out words in English and we had to translate them into Irish.

Then we practised songs for the show. Science: Our teacher was absent so we had a free class. English: Our teacher was absent so we had a free class. Music: We started learning the ukulele.
English: We read the first chapter of ‘The Help’. Religion: Ms Dunne gave us a sheet of paper which described someone. She would then read out a question and if the question was related to our person, we would take a step forward. Maths: We finished our report sheets about Seacláid Ltd. Religion: Ms Dunne gave us a list of statements and we had to write down a statement that we strongly agreed with and one that we strongly disagreed with. We then stuck them to the whiteboard. We then discussed them. Business: Ms Hayes gave us sheets. I.T.:Mr Molamhy explained to us about the works that were going on in the computer room and future plans. European Studies: Ms O’Callaghan told us a brief background to us of the European Union. Irish: We had a quiz. |
