At the start of the year, I was really looking forward to doing TY. I needed a beak from all of the study after the Junior Cert. Our first thing to do was the Healthy Lifestyle Programme. This was one of the highlights of my year. I really enjoyed it because it was all about teamwork and working together. Our class really came together and we became closer. But as the year progressed, students started complaining about the year and saying it was a waste. Then things weren't as fun as we were hoping. I just carried on and tried to get the best out of the year. Then our first trip out of the school was Delphi. This was also a team building trip. We completed a walk on the second day which went towards our gaisce.
In December, we had a variety show called GAA With A Twist. I thought it was a lot of fun and I completed one of my aims of Transition Year. I became more confident as a person as I was involved in many scenes in the show. Then in January, I entered a project into the BT Young Scientist with two other classmastes. This was another aim I had for TY. Another aim I had for TY was to complete two weeks of work experince. For my first week of work experience, I went to the national school.
